CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

yoga for strength & flexibility
Focus is on promoting flexibility and building strength in a dynamic approach with co-ordination of breath and movement.

yoga for body breath and mind
Extend your body, deepen your breath and enhance your spirit - a holistic approach using asana, pranayama and reflection.

energizing yoga
Focus is on energizing the body stimulating the mind working on flexibility strength and concentration.

meditative practice
Asana practice can be done in such a way that it promotes this experience. Yoga offers many tools to help experience a state of dhyanam or meditation, bhavana visualization, sound and silence, chanting, to name a few.
[note: no prior experience of chanting necessary.]

Chanting aloud in asana practice
Vocal sounds are another tool use to bring awareness, and aid better breathing in asana practice. Chanting helps the mind to stay focused, and energizes our system, making it alert and active. Chanting also has a healing effect. In some classes we will experience the effects of chanting simple sounds in asana practice.

Individual lessons
To assist in developing a personal practice for the student wishing to incorporate yoga into their daily routine. A daily practice is designed for their specific needs and abilities.
> block of 3 sessions = $200
> ongoing
